Bradley T. Kalkwarf


Bradley T. Kalkwarf was raised in Oxford, Nebraska where he graduated from high school in 1985. He received a Business Administration degree in 1990 and a Juris Doctorate in Law in 1993, both from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. He opened his own office, Kalkwarf Law Firm, in Wilber in 1993 and remained a solo practitioner until 1997 when he joined Vicky Johnson in partnership and purchased the former Hroch and Horacek law firm, also in Wilber. Brad’s wife Kelly is a fourth grade teacher at Crete Elementary school and they have one daughter, Jacqueline


Shaylene M. Smith


Shaylene M. Smith grew up in Paxton, Nebraska and completed high school there in 1988. She attended Doane College in Crete and graduated with a degree in Political Science in 1991. Her Juris Doctorate was awarded by the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 1994 and she has also completed some Master’s work in Political Science. She started as an associate attorney with Steinacher, Vosoba and Hanson in Crete and Wilber in 1994 and was made a partner in 1999. Shaylene is married to Michael Smith of Crete who is a computer support network technician for Design Data in Lincoln and they have three children, Brennan, Regan and Kaidan.
